Justin Bieber showed some love for fellow Canadian artist Drake on Instagram last night (June 26), calling the artist "more than a rapper, a culture shifter and legend." The social media tribute, where Bieber also called the More Life rapper the "best of our generation," came just before Drake took the stage to host the inaugural 2017 NBA Awards in New York City.
While the duo haven't collaborated directly on a track since 2012's "Right Here," the two high-profile stars share more in common than Canadian heritage.
As among the most well-known artists in the pop realm, both are frequents on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and often cross paths in the music world. Last summer, Drake promoted a Bieber remix of the Views smash hit "One Dance," while most recently, both appeared on DJ Khaled's Grateful.
