NUXE HUILE PRODIGIEUSE - MULTI-PURPOSE DRY OIL FOR FACE, BODY & HAIR

ABOUT
____________________________________________________________________________
"A best-seller among natural cosmetics for 20 years and one bottle is purchased every six seconds in the world".

"98.1% natural formula enriched with vitamin E and free of silicones, preservatives and mineral oils, is composed of six precious plant oils to help nourish, repair and soften the skin:
Macadamia,
Hazelnut,
Borrage,
Sweet Almond,
Camellia, and
St.-John's-Wort."

It is free of silicone.

TEXTURE & FEEL ON THE SKIN
____________________________________________________________________________
Because the oil is silicone-free, you need to blend it well with clean hands and once this is done, I find the skin is left feeling fairly soft, and velvety smooth with no oiliness/greasiness.  It even makes my complexion appear even brighter and fresher.  There's no residue left behind, so it works well under makeup.  The product did not clog my pores or break me out - even after using 1-2 times a day ever day for 2 weeks. :)  On days when my skin leans towards being more combination with an oily T-zone (warmer days), I don't find that it makes my skin any oilier at all.  However, on cold, dry days when my skin is ultra dry, I do find I need something richer and thicker than the Nuxe dry oil either as an alternative or as an additional layer on top of the dry oil application.  I do love using this on my body after showering then climbing into bed.  My skin feels comfortable and smells great, too. ^_^

TEXTURE & FEEL IN HAIR
____________________________________________________________________________
You only need the slightest amount (much less than you'd think) for the hair, otherwise for me personally, it's too heavy and can weigh the hair down and flat.  I use this on the ends of my hair while it is still damp after washing then I blow-dry.  I do notice my hair looks and feels much softer, more bouncy, shiny and generally just healthier!  However, I find it is hard to keep my hair straight with it, which is my preference when it comes to styling.  It tends to go a tad wavy instead!  Therefore, I prefer to use the oil for my skin for regular use, and as a kind of hair treatment on days when I feel my hair could do with a bit more moisture or lacks shine.  I think this would help restore dry or damaged hair also.  It does keep any fly-aways or frizzy hair at bay, and for that you just need to use what's left in your hands after applying the oil to your face or body. :)

FRAGRANCE
____________________________________________________________________________
It has a fragrance which I find quite pleasant, clean, fresh - yet somehow warm and not too overpowering.  It reminds me of being in a relaxing spa. :)  Love, love, love it!  This is how Nuxe describe its scent:
"A sunny scent infused with sweetness and femininity, instantly releasing orange blossom, bitter orange and mirabelle plum notes before revealing an addictive floral heart of rose, lily-of-the-valley and white lily.  The finale is provided by a sensual base of amber, vanilla and cedar wood."

SIZE & RRP
____________________________________________________________________________
It's available in 50 ml for AU$24.95 and 100 ml for AU$39.95.  I have the 50 ml and after using it 1-2 times daily for face, arms and legs, it looks like I've barely used it!  A little goes a long way so this bottle will last me ages.  I think it's great value for money. :)

There's also a gorgeous shimmer version of this called Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR (gold shimmer) available in 50 ml for AU$29.95.

VERDICT
____________________________________________________________________________
While I've been loving using the Shu Uemura Balancing Cleansing Oil for makeup removal for years, I'm not usually partial to using oils for face and body for moisturising.  I must admit, it felt a little strange at first to be slathering oil on my face after cleansing for this purpose - especially for someone who sometimes has combination skin (prone to an oily 'T-zone').    However, I've since been converted and thoroughly enjoy using it as part of my normal skin routine.  So, if you have combination or oily skin, don't be afraid to use oil on your face. ;)  Will definitely keep using this product.  I'd purchased the 100 ml version of this oil a year ago in a Nuxe set, which also included mini 10 ml Huile Prodigieuse OR and haven't got around to using it, but I will definitely do so now!  I'm sure it would look quite sexy for summer and add a much needed glow and luminosity to the skin during winter. :)  Overall, I highly recommend!

Disclaimer: this product was provided to me for consideration - although as mentioned I did already purchase it in a Nuxe skin care set a year ago, but never got around to using it as I had way too many products in my stash to try!  I'm glad I finally got around to it though! ^_^
